Students dropping out

A 'bridge' programme to bring struggling students back into a positive dynamic of success, in partnership with the schools.

Our association runs specific actions for students in serious difficulty or dropping out. A 'bridge' programme has been set up in several towns, in partnership with teachers and school leadership teams, to help these students give new meaning to their studies and step into a positive dynamic.

A structured contract, agreed with the school

A contract may be negotiated with the school, with a possible adjustment of hours. This kind of contract is mainly negotiated for students identified as struggling. Each contract is tightly framed, with a clearly defined goal for the student. The family is involved in the contract, which must not last: it lasts long enough to bring each student back into a positive dynamic of success, whether academic or otherwise.

“Self-confidence in life is not decided, it is given to us by others and, first of all, by our parents.”
— Antoine de la Garanderie

How it works

For this bridge to work, constructive working meetings are organised with the school teams. Adjusting school hours requires a relay to welcome the students concerned: the association offers themed afternoons at least three times a week, with sophrology and mental-management workshops.
